    I've thought about this a bit tonight, about how LTF gets credit for certain pks. Here is the differences in LTF V.S. Core pk.

    LTF mostly hangs out around Solace, with easily accessed peaced rooms. They are always scheming, but who can blame them their numbers are low. When surprised or attacked with an overwhelming force, they instant eject. When testing the waters, they leave one person in peace ready to word of recall the other. If they die, no big deal because mostly they don't have that much gear to lose. They don't look bad, because hey, they died to a much larger force.

    Core Pk consists of finding these scoundrels, mostly by checking Solace. Core is most always out of peace waiting to fight LTF. If we kill LTF, no big deal they die all the time. If they kill us, huge loss because we have gear(which we spent a lot of time earning). Core usually has an outnumbering force because lets face it, we're a large clan and people are logged on.

    Basically LTF and CORE are like Cops and Criminals, only LTF are actually the Cops. They can fuck up all the time and only have to be right once, while CORE has to be right everytime, or suffer the consequences. This guerilla style fighting(sit in peace room, run out to fight recall back to peace) may be all a small group like them can manage, but it really is over-credited. They die all the time, and yes, they choose to leave knowing they could die. Does that make them brave? Gearless chars wandering around trying to score a kill. Core doesn't have to leave the safety of our peace rooms either. I spent the first half of my mud career randoming with my buddies just like these guys, and I love a good pk log as much as anyone. All I'm saying, is lets stop pretending these guys are elite.

    ha see what you get for listening to me jonas! You listen to my advice, so i reward you! :)

    ya dan whatever floats your boat bud.

    And jrrestad why does it bother you so much that people think reed and jim are elite? Cause i really wish it would stop bothering you so you would stop leaving these dumb ass long post's on how you think your elite and could do much better. Maybe you should show us man, take you and someone else and try to go pk wild 2vs 8.. lets see how you do.. Im sure you would do really good since you use to be such an elite randomer and could do much better..

    remove animate dead entirely or rework it. its unbalanced in pk and in zoning, its really easy to get and its unsheafable.

  6. rivengard · 28 Jul 2010
    @daniel

    Don't turn into Patrick. What does animate have to do with this log?
  7. reed23 · 28 Jul 2010
    to all those who want verification. If LTF Ever saw an equal number fight, we would take it on 99% of the time. Its hard to come out of peace and fight double the numbers of the opponent, which we do on a regular basis. Flanking thieves make it difficult to compete against, especially when the other team has double the players going into a pk, and another 10 ready to jump incase they need backups.
    As to the comment about animate, most of the pk's that occur don't involve animate...

    To CORE: Great PKs, guys. Love to see people taking out the trash.

    To Reed: It's hard to come out of peace b/c.. *shocker* Your characters are used only for pk, and hence can't zone. You can't compete against flankers b/c.. *shocker* Your characters are used only for pk, and hence can't zone.

    In regards to animate? Most of your successful, and hence posted, pks prior to the blessed event of the mindflayer nerf *did* include animate. Now you're trying to find new tricks (grats on superior bash sligs) because the imms fixed an obvious abuse.

    Most of your issues can be solved by 1 change. Play the fucking game. Zone. Make friends. Zone. Load gear (off actual NPCs). Zone. Hrmm.. maybe zone? Do something other than annoy people who don't want to play your game.

    Yes, there does seem to be a continuity in what you need to do in order to resolve the issues about which you constantly whine. Try playing the game?

    Jason, This is a PK mud. They are playing the game in the way that they enjoy.

    it has to do with ltf who are involved in all of these logs, and i fail to see how pointing out a problem likens me to patrick. there was no self promotion, insults or blatant mavlad worshipping involved. your post was more like one of brytons than mine like patricks. needless, irritating and posing no general value.

    thanks daniel... :(

    by likening you to patrick, i was referring less to the things you mentioned and more to the having quit the game and commenting on something completely off topic.
    But please, continue to troll away.

    @daniel_1

    If you are going to continue to post after you "quit", then you might wanna stay informed... sheaf's were turned off completely.

    funny. people who quit suddenly forget how to play the game. NOT!

    Kaffe, that was honestly one of the dumbest posts i've read in my life. All our pk careers, our main use has been the spell para, so you're wrong there. Second, we do zone, and do 5-6man zones on 2 players on a regular basis. Third, Pk is part of the game. If you don't like it, keep inn-sitting until you have your 10 man to leave so we dont kill you like normal. 4, as much as you guys love to complain about our dominance, you know you all love it and it brings an added dimension of fun to the game. If you don't like it, keep crying on the boards to make yourself feel better buddy.
