    Hanging from the center of a gold crown molded ceiling is a large
chandelier burning a beautiful red flame. The flame is the result of the
burning of sodium and some other select chemical compounds, secret to the
pyromancers of Deep Mine. A servant seems to be dusting the ceiling and
walls on a small step stool. This job must need to be done with some
regularity, as the adventurers who frequent this stronghold track in
copious amounts of debris.

I halfway agree with you oldschoolplayer. IMO It sucks to fight ONLY mages. And thats all that otlw uses is ONLY mages. And when you fighting 3-4 people who all have tent and prism and 2 have stun. There just isnt a whole hell of a lot you can do unless you get lucky with an ambush or you get lucky and set them up with a trap. I think mages are way over powered atm. But mages have always been overpowered. There are ways to fight back, we just need to get our numbers up and figure it out. None of their mages are nobash, so they all very very killable. Get some saves eq etc etc. I fought Pjat with my paladin using an awful skilled 2hander. And got him to like 40 hp and then i tried to avenge his leg and hit a mirror. So mages are still fragile. Lower the level of power they have atm and it would be a nice balance.

Fun being on the other side of the coin, aint it? When Core was fighting Mael, we had the exact same problem.... only Mael also had some mostly naked tanks that they used as well!

Since none of them are nobash, why not use a little brain power? Trick them into fighting in nomagic, or nomage magic. Use spells/skills to wipe out the mirrors before you attempt to bash them. You know... the common sense things a person does before attempting to attack a spelled mage.

You always did seem at a loss in pk when you didn't have a lot of firepower backing you up. Stop acting like you have Mael behind you and start acting you have Apoc instead. You need to use the tools at your disposal more efficiantly. You can't wield a scalpel like it was a sledge hammer. *shrugs*

Yes, Apoc isn't Core, but Outlaw isn't Mael either. Outlaw doesn't have anywhere near the numbers of Mael or Core, yet it seems just a few people are handing you your ass.

From everything I have seen from you this wipe, and last wipe, you can't seem to handle clan pk unless you have a powerful clan behind you. You constantly act like the people and chars you are leading are stacked and spelled, instead of semi-skilled in pk and not all that stacked.

I saw it in the war with PWA, and I saw it in the war against Mael.

Shawn is Nanerpus, and doesn't speak for CORE.
There are many in CORE who are old LOS like myself, who respect John's pkilling style, although we agree he has anger management problems, but that is neither here nor there.
And since Shawn has quit CORE for the wipe he probably shouldn't be on here egging on other clans, whether he intended it or not.
Finally, giving pkill advice to other clans in war is stupid. nufsaid.

And no, I don't speak for Core, and I never have. But if someone wants to use what I say as an excuse to attack Core, then I can't help that. But I'm done playing clan politics and I'm going to say what's on my mind, even if my own clannies don't like it or think it'll anger the big bad Wolf or some shit.

I don't go off and insult and flame people just for the hell of it. I speak my mind and I stick by what I say, and I'll admit when I'm proven wrong. I have seen John's pk style in action both as an ally when he was in Core, and then as an enemy (this wipe and late last wipe), and I stick by what I have said.

When going against an opponent with better spelled and eqed chars (and maybe more skilled), he tends to fight as if he was on an even footing, or even with MORE power than his opponent. He did it when he was leading Core in fights against PWA, and he seemed to do it in the Core/Mael war.

And... he's doing it with Apoc in this war against Outlaw.
