Its funny about armaboro. EVERYONE has a set now days! In fact after stax died he came into our stronghold after most rented and bashed vallejo, he had another full armaboro set and a new prime. Resourceful!

slightly, but let me elaborate so i don't seem hypocritical. i'm not going to play the whistleblower, but the point remains yet to be addressed - lots and lots of people char shar and bot. the question comes down to this: why wouldn't you want this issue to be brought into the realm of public discussion? the people play this mud can be put into two categories. one, you play the game and follow the rules - you don't bot, char shar, etc. and you are wish the people that are botting paid some sort of retribution. or two, you bot or char share, get away with it, and accomplish more on your own that the people that don't cheat. if some people get the luxury of completing zones beyond their soling ability, why shouldn't everyone have the option? i'm not saying botting or char sharing is inherently bad - maybe the rules should be revisited with the current size of the player base. but please, don't simply turn a blind eye to what is obviously going on.

You know whats really crappy? Is that it's actually easy to tell who's botting most of the time, especially for an imm who's snooping on the suspects. I don't care what any imm says, noticing bots is actually fairly easy once you observe the group for a bit. Certain things start standing out fairly quickly and such.

I have seen a few big groups (7-10 man) that looked HIGHLY suspect this wipe. I mean... come the fuck on. When I see like 8 people camping a zone for about 2 days straight, and they sit in one little spot for like 6+ hours (always the same chars).... I have either found the mother load of out of work, living in mommies basement, never had a date, loser, or a group full of bots run by 2 or 3 people.

And I'm talking about LATE in the wipe, not some start of the wipe thing where we all tend to become hardcore losers for at-least a few weeks.

It pisses me off a lot. I could be out there eqing and spelling up all my chars by botting, and knowing that I would probably never get caught, but I don't. I have had friends in the past try to get me to char share and bot with them, but I was always reluctant. I play this game the same way I play any other game, the way it was meant to be played. Whats the point in cheating, other than to win at any cost. And if thats why you play this, or any game, then you need to get a life.

Great posts. What it comes down to is that as Brafu stated, people will start getting annoyed for all reasons above and they will start botting too if they see clear botting, and nothing/nobody is doing anything about it.

can someone please explain the best method for botting? is it preferable to use 1 computer or 2? and if you choose to use 1 computer is it best to split screens or tab them? are certain classes ideal for botting due to their ease of combat operation (ie dark knight assist/impair/gaze, scout assist/headbutt/ravage)? and of course, what is the best method for dealing with immortal intervention when it comes to botting.. does a claim of newbie-ishness work best or rather attempt to speak to such immortal using all chars simulataneously?
