    Try reading two logs before this one. There was a pretty good fight there.

    Also, that MAEL group was just a zoner group. All of them zoners. Especially Nina. Scared of PK so he recalls self fast fast!

    Tricks are all part of warfare. Using zone feature against enemy; why not? Past logs are full of it - nomagic rooms, norecall rooms, summonable norecall rooms, blocked rooms, etc. Just add that DT room to it.

    That has got to be the most nasty use of a zone trick I've ever seen - and pretty much all I did when fighting with Renshai was look for nasty zone tricks. Everyone dies, plus you can loot the corpses? Jeez.

    I hear all this talk about MAEL not fighting. We just had a 10v10. And second of all I doubt anyone would be willing to rush into ANY fight and risk the good sets they have when enemy has nobash healer and nobash prismer online. Oh and all of our players are spread out so much in timezone its hard to find a time where we can have a good group online to pk with. Just saying its not we scared we just not stupid to rush into fight without chance to win.

    Oh and another thing. Losing a set in war during this wipe is alot different cause its not like there is alot of eq floating around out there. When buffest clan on the game atm dosnt pk and will quit if they get attacked and has tons of elite gear kinda makes eq that much more important.

    conversly i think that pk should happen more often because there is more gear in the game. gear doesn't have to be elite to do hard zones, and even the hardest fight is achievable with mediocre gear with the right preparation and excecution. it's the stigma that goes with war that makes people less willing to battle... the stigma that losing a battle means losing the war. battles should happen on a daily basis, where prep and gear don't mean anything. i mean why not - i may have a super-sweet, elitely geared char one day, and the next he might rip. this doesn't disqualify me from hitting back with similar tactics and dealing an equally crushing blow the next battle.

    PK isn't about losing or not losing gear...it's about having fun with an aspect of the game that one cannot experience when fighting predictable NPCs. A battle between 20 different players has so many variables that it can go either way.
    Unrealistically, even if all of the preps/eq sets/player actions are EXACTLY the same in two consecutive fights, there is still the all important factor of saves, which can completely transform a battle.
    Your second point of "I doubt anyone would be willing to rush into ANY fight and risk the good sets they have" is inaccurate. Outlaws will fight regardless of the odds. 12 v 16?
    The buffest clans on the game DO pk and they will NOT quit if they are attacked. At least they haven't so far. Lets see if MAELs can represent.

    12v16? those 4 trash chars that are brough dont nearly make up for 10 Nobash heals. And WNR was clan im talking about. Earlier in wipe they were attacked and all quit. Im not calling them out cause its cool that they just want o zone and not pk. But when they have cyan eq maxxed "probably" and things of that sort makes even mediocre eq hard to gain. I am not against fighting every day but when you go into fight with little chance to win no point in doing it in the first place.

    I don't think Otlw nor Mael wants Wnr to get involved in this pk war. It'd be hilarious to hear Mael crying if Wnr ended up fighting Mael alongside Otlw (even after Mael just "won" 10 sets.

    If you zone, you will pop gear. Man up and control the playtime war and battle otlw off the mud a few times and zone, and you'll do just fine with gear.

    And as far as I know.. using game knowledge to win 10 enemy sets (nobash included) without breaking game mechanics is basically raping the enemy. Imo, funnest "pk" log since Ahma cheated with anger.

    i've got to disagree with that comment. in any trap of the past or 'trick' there has always been combat of some sort involved with acquiring the gear. may it be ancient, drac tower, anger ownage or even the pax hilt, the gear was acquired through players battling players. this trap may not be abuse of game mechanics, but it sure was unfortunate for those involved - it was a shitty way to lose sets.

    who cares who defines rape - but one this is certain, rape is morally bad. so yeah, you did rape the group - that makes you the bad guy!

    How is this much different from getting mobs to solo the enemy after you summon it into an aggro room for example? It's same thing in my opinion.

    i'm posting as a way to have a respectable dialog, im not burning on anyone. i will have my say and if it's considered spamming im guilty of being a huge spammer!

    it's not a bad thing this happened... it's just a lame way to lose sets. nobody can argue against that simple point - i wouldn't want my enemy to have this happen to them!

    i don't think anyone should justify a group dt... that is even crable! i mean man, if you cred a group that ripped at cyan, great job to that team. i applaud it! but sit in a dt and hope your oppenent doesn't know about the exploit - lame trap!

    Why assume that this was used to acquire the 10 sets of equipment?

    If I were hiding there I would assume the enemy group wouldn't walk right into the DT. There have been documented fights with other people dying to the same dt in the past.

    I would argue this is better than the pax hilt. At least in this case the players dying did it to themselves -- they had an opportunity to not walk in. With the pax hilt they were forceable moved.

    that's my point, it's legal so no one can fault it. it was our problem that nis dragged the group down, it's our fault we lost the gear.

    these truths don't mean that what happened should happen or is 'good' regardless of your side in the war. why would anyone back justification for a huge swing in war - it already is a pseudo status of it's glorious past.

    but back to the future, there will be more battles, i still have a nobash to wager

    purly Bob, just for fun and to give this log a deeper context and meaning, you should paste all of the gear that you guys looted (can edit out bullshit).

    I thought I posted it all. What'd I miss? I don't have the full log saved anymore anyway. Maybe I missed 1/2 of indi's gear?

    I've got to agree with Suf on the differences between this and Pax Hilt, but I disagree with Pablo's opinion that it is the same as summoning to an aggro room.
    I remember when Mavlad tried this VG trick on NowClan last wipe, Mavlad was no doubt hoping that Andrew was going to slip up the way that Nis did...but, after seeing that the enemy group was waiting down, Andrew instead summoned a level 15 character, gave it a note from Sorinthalas with a nasty message written on it, and sent it down with the message, thereby telling Mavlad's group to come up. Mavlad responded by yelling "go north and we will come up", but Andrew refused.
    Andrew insisted that we fight over the DT and refused to go north, told all of his groupies to fight and die or recall, but do not flee. Who fled instead? Mavlad did:
