As a person who has acctually met and knows Corey, it does't mean Corey is an asshole, in fact Corey is pretty much one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
Corey may be kind of a dick on the MUD, but there are rules in place and while he may follow them exactly to the T he very seldom breaks them. Everyone is aware of what can happen to them and their characters when they play. The only valid judgement you can make about Corey through the way he plays this game is that he values his own enjoyment over that of a person 1000 miles away that he'll never meet who understands what they're getting into in the first place.

When has this ever happened? Corey almost never (never at all to my knowledge) brings real life into anything MUD related. In fact his detractors bring real life into the game more than anything, with alot of personal attacks at the guy that go beyond typical "you're stupid"/"you're a faggot" internet bullshit.
The only thing that truly matters in life is what you choose to primarily/ultimately pursue, and everything that directs you toward that goal up until the point when you finally achieve it (hooray!).
