    For the future, in regard to Outlaw/BSP clan(s):

    If you want to keep the mud competitive, cut your numbers - either split off your alliances or get rid of your JV program. You'll see a lot more people playing the mud.

    Yeah glad to have one final fight, finally lost nightbringer which I vowed to keep out of the hands of BSP for the entire wipe. Shows how much of a difference even 1 stunner can make to the game. It will be interesting to see how Arctic continues to evolve.

    look at the situation suf, you're a smart guy. i didn't quit but if we lose even 3 guys we are seriously hurt. you lose one, great, no big deal. its different when you have hardcore euros that stand strong with you. i didn't quit, but i can't compete if i can't zone.

    We'd love to keep the game competitive, but it just hasn't been possible to compete versus you guys for over half the wipe. We couldn't compete on so many levels that as you guys have been complaining about the only fighting we've even done is either some sort of trap or ambush.

    More PK is what brings in more players. It's a pity that arctic seems to develop into a 'protect the weak' state. Less restriction on pkilling is the way to go.

    Breiner: I'd sure love to hear your logic behind that. It's always been my observation that pk deaths are many much more likely to cause a person to quit than a zoning death.

    Arctic tries to keep its newer players because it's interested in surviving.

    Maybe one day reality will occur to you.

    When a newbie comes into the game, and enters a world that's massively polarized between two states: those in power like outlaw, and everyone else who can barely keep a char un-permahunted from outlaw-type clans for more than a few weeks, that person is going to find a real tough time finding a place in the game.

    It's a sad thing to see Wild ends like this. I was absent for 5 months, first day return to mud, and see Wild get slaughtered....Gotta give BSD the credit for pulling that one off regardless. With Wild's departure, the mud might lose some competitive edges. But I think people (mortals and immortals) around will always keep it interesting. Just my two cents

    if imms aren't going to run more pvp options then we're (the players) gonna work on some things. with cooporation the game should get a little more interesting soon.

    btw al, if you didn't know we were about half an inch from asking for peace from wild today (most of our players went to another game) so we don't have the numbers you think we do :)

    The problem with arctic is your either Not on a competative level (which doesnt seem to matter to outlaws/bsp's or wilds so i dont see what any of you freaks are whining about anyway,) and so get slaughtered and are no longer able to zone OR your on a competative level but get jumped and/or loose 1 fight badly as in this log and so only have the strenght to log an hour or 2 a day to get back to a competative strength. The fault isnt with the mud but with the players and clans. Eg. To me it seems with the loss of all that gear wild is not in a competative state and so bsp/outlaw should peace them but they will not.
    They will continue to hog as much zone time as they can and slow wilds come back as much as possible, hunt thier supposed lowbies (which they actually do a better job of now i guess :P) stopping them from even having a little fun when they cannot log thier main characters.
    Im not pointing the finger so dont get upset guys, this is just an example, but it makes the point perfectly. You all need to chill and stop waring for a while, or please forbid have a freaken break from the game all together.

    That was an absolutely insane log. I haven't seen area like that since Wild dominated my two crap groups a couple wipes ago.

    There is really little you can do against a group like that, except have more area or land all your bashes and keep casters floored, which is really tough against mirror/nobash/enlarge/guard/protective bashing.

    I personally am of the opinion that arctic is slowly dying out. Nothing new or interesting has happened, despite the best efforts of staff. BSP is so strong/huge that nobody can afford to compete against them, if they do, they get slaughtered. And now, with those spells, nobody stands a chance imo. Not BSP's fault, I'd do the same, but nobody wants to go up against such stacked odds as that. If BSP split or quit, maybe things would get interesting again. Until then....

    people just don't realize that bsp is NOT the huge conglomerate it once was. bsp consists of maybe 5 older players that lead, and maybe 7-9 new guys. we rely on neutrals to do our zoning.

    just wanted to clear that up

    i think they knew the depth of our area and wanted to oneround sanchez so we would destroy ourselves with area/no healing. if they had succeeded this log would have a completely different ending i think.

    Mike R. is correct. We knew what we were getting ourselves into with this fight. We saw the scrolls being passed out. Our only real hope of survival was to kill the group leader in hopes that bsp's area would devastate them as much as us. Although it probably would have helped to bash epso too.

    awsome log for bsp. im proud of all my old bros for kicking some ass. as a former bsp for a long time this slaughter is good to see. but as a player of arctic like i am now, bad to see. now no other clan has a chance to compete. til it wipes. only thing that can happen now is the 2 bsp...sorry "outlaws" and "bsp" fight agaisnt each other cause nobody else is gonna bother. i love u all and wish u good luck.

    There was no illusion about the fight suf. Our guys were pretty much going there to die so they could quit. It's not about heart, they're not quitting because they lost. Oh well, most of the old crew, wild and otherwise, quit long ago and the game just isn't as fun as it used to be. Have fun playing with yourselves.

    People always quit when they lose. BSPs have done so in the past, Wilds too. I remember most of Wilds have already quit some time ago. It was a surprise seeing them in this fight, and then quitting again.

    I wanted to tell Wild something like "see you back soon", but I won't. It's just that I myself have effectively quit a while ago and I have no time nor desire to play Arctic in the future. I think that that's the way a lot of people would go in both clans. It was a good time, farewell friends and foes, though I'll occasionally be stumbling into IRC channels.

    And, btw, Bruce is wrong, as usual, stating that we have never looted 2 nobashes at once in a fight against Wild except Juan/Solare rip-fight (don't remember where the fight happened).
    He should go to Lasse's and check out the Khalkist (2 robes, Nyobe and Nynaeve) and the Solace (cyan's suit and gazer's) fights from the time of BSR-Tempest war.
    Just mentioning it here since I don't remember my bloody password to Salcha's.

    One thing I don't understand:

    If the goal is to oneround Sanchez, that's perfectly reasonable. However, why are Wild's casters casting spells like insect swarm/ice storm and such instead of doing direct damage like call lightning? Seems like a couple of call lightnings would add ~200 dam as opposed to the probably 50 or so dam the icestorm did and 30 dam the swarm did that first round.

    a few in wild had had enough of some of the stuff going on and wanted to go out in a last big fight.. the rest of the group went cause of the loyalty they feel.. the aim wasnt to kill them all for the KLOOT... the aim was to go and die.. and to hopefully take a few of them with us..

    For some reason I really think this might be the end of SOME of the wilds. They've been around a long time. The mud is a lot different now.

    I'd like to say that with wild leaving someone will step into their place, but bsd/outlaws are too large. Even if they call themselves seperate clans that are obviously very friendly and very affiliated together. It's really hard to overcome that.

    I once had dreams of making a clan that could climb to the top. Its not a one wipe job though. It takes time, loyalty and knowledge to make it happen. If anyone can make a clan that can rival bsd(s) (as it is now) they seriouisly have their shit together.

    Either way was a good fight to see. All of you goodluck in your life's persutes. We need a playerwipe shortly, I mean give bsd some time to play with their new shinies, but a wipe I think would restore a lot of hope.

    Except even if we wipe, BSP and Outlaws would still be friendly, probably zone with each other, and they'd climb back to where they are now. Sure, in theory another clan could form and challenge them, but nothing stopping people from atleast tyring to do that now. Besides, it hasn't even been a year since the last pwipe, it's a bit early to call for one now just because peopel think it'll make the balance of power feasable.

    Its hard to quit arctic.. I know wilds still have the bug in them.. They will be back.. But ya i dont think a wipe would solve anything.. Just needs to be more smaller clans emerging so the mud is not so 2 clan sided and got like 20 people on each side of the clan.. Makes no sense i think.

    I personally think its good wild is disbanding. If wild disbands, BSP will quit/disperse.

    If BSP and wild are gone, it lets other clans start taking the reins, learning the game, becoming dominant, etc...

    Nice fight guys. As far as wilds go, they are still around + old timers will be back. Hell I quit for months at a time and always come back. Arctic is probably the best free games out there even with it flaws. So everyone will come back at some time. Anyway thanks wilds fun fight.

    This post is intended respond to those who dont know what was going on nor intended by Wild at the time of this log. There were events that happened before the fight that had nothing to do with the fight itself, it was enough to make a few people quit. The fight itself was the point of 'fuckit, lets just go run into the fight' and definitely knowing it would be a loss. Nobody gave a damn about one rounding Sanchez honestly and no real strategy was used, the smart strategy would have been just not to fight seeing as how the odds were so tilted. While on one hand I dont wish to take anything away from the bsp win, I do on the otherhand want to make sure it wasn't mistaken as some sort of skill nor some elaborate plan that outsmarted wild but rather an attitude of being fed up with tons of different angles and giving in to giving up. We could sit here all day and talk about who's better and who can woop who's ass or better yet who has the biggest or buffest clan, but the hard fact is that Wild hasnt been able to exist in fullness since near the beginning of the wipe and at this point to fight a 1.bsp and 2.bsp group became a bit more than most of us wanted to deal with. Sure, most will say that bsp lost big and didnt quit but the quitting happened before the losing big and secondly the big losses those bsp crews encountered were eased by bsp's ability to host enough numbers to sustain any big losses.
    Anyways, it was fun and bsp got the big win they wanted. Hopefully something will happen to change the clan dynamics of arctic to make it more than just a numbers game, until then I would expect more of the same every wipe. Have fun guys...I sure did :)

    Obviously credit goes to wild for actually turning up to such a suicidal battle. Always fun to go down in a blaze of prismatic colour and stunning sound effects.

    In regards to quitting, for 95% of people it never lasts so personally I'm hoping to see not a mish mash of small clans but the emergence of a new opposing super power.

    Back in the days of old BSP and Ahma first combined to take on the unequalled might of the Shriners, so c'mon enemies, lets see it happen. Don't be xenophobic, get out there and recruit the cream of renshai/dark moon/myth and actually show some loyalty to your new clan, fight till you can fight no more, and then start again with shop eq.

    the current small BSP vs Wild remnants, Garbage vs Renshai, Chaos vs Myth, KoS roleplaying, Ahma randoming, Outlaw ruling the mud...
    And then at one point Wild, Garbage, Renshai, Chaos, Myth, KoS vs Outlaw (and probably BSP) and still losing big... Except for the last part, what a sweet dream it was...

They had a quitter attitude going in and they gave decent fights far and few between this wipe.     Im relatively certain than a 10man ranked group could take the top 3 outlaw/bsd. That'd be the case in any event.

    They meant compare 10 chaos group to 3 of Tajs chars. He is the great dane hoarder who's chars will wipe out the entire mud on chaos day when he will be allowed to multi. Most other bsp/outlaw's main chars are not as well equipped as Tajs quaternary char.

    Wouldn't matter who they fought, Wilds would probably backstab the couple well-equipped people of each of those clans, then get killed by bsp while regening. :P

    I wouldn't consider garbage to be a clan anymore, it might be due to my limited playing lately, but I rarely see any other garbage members on arctic or irc. :P

    Im still trying to pin point what the problem is.. Chaos not fighting outlaws so why even talk about tajs and his chars fighting a 10man chaos group.. Are fight is with bsp.. They feel proud to attacking a lessor clan who form late in wipe.. They use trash char multi's to try and stop chaos from zoning and claim they dont. Maybe not all bsp but we got prove of some of bsp guyz using multi trash chars vs chaos haha i laugh.. Bsp wants it so be it.. To bad chaos didnt know about this till after the big fight. Like you said whats done is done.. Now the fun begins....

    we might not kill one but it doesn't matter to stand by and let people who shall remain nameless (aldur) use trashy alts(cherek) to assist you and your randoming brigade to attack small clans and just plain neuts is unacceptable. unlike you some people have a small amount of class and theres more to the game than eq. if bsd wants to let their members use unknown alts to attack people with then back them when their members are dumb enough to pass of eq to someone they don't know then i think bsd is asking for this far more than chaos. as has been said chaos didn't ask for this, this was brought to chaos it's just now with main chara. i remained against fighting bsd for the fact that i found most of them to be decent and fair people for the most part. but after reading some post and by the actions of mavlad in backing aldur i see just because some of the members are decent apperently they need someone new to fight................. so be it.

    Last wipe we came back and won after you took the mud. This time we didn't have the numbers or the will. Wild was a shell of itself in the end, long before I left.

I even offered gear for "peace" although i dont even play that char anymore. Gregorious backstabbed me in peace treaty and killed my multy. Alright, we're even, although i hate backstabs, didnt even report my clan of chaos killing my multy. Then sart lies and insults both me and mavlad, also stealing prep and +dam. Thats why Xion died. We got our +dam back. You guys keep pushing for "war" if u can call it this way, i prefer calling it slaughter when the time comes, by trashtalking and Gambit summoning pple. We will see what happens next. I'd hate to fight a clan that has so many of my friends in it just bc leader and couple others are total morons.

    Hravitz has proved my point exactly besides jnicks inablity to express himself without using threats the whole problem is that people are wanting to fight chaos just because.... the whole reason there is a problem is because aldur was fighting us and i would be willing to wager not the only bsd alt along with trash clan for fun with chara they cared nothing about. bring the fight to their clanned chara and the story changes and bsd wants a war. as for pablo my ass you tryed to solve this i saw the log of your conversation when you laughed about lying to us to get peace. and also about your spying on my location which is in my book just as bad as killing the person yourself so you are by no means not to be held accountable for it. it just saddens me that bsd has no moral structure at all and let's their members do as they please. if someone would like to correct me and tell me this is the first time bsd members have done bullshit i'll be more than happy to hear about it. i have about given up on this game do to the lack of reasoning and logic that the pbase as seemed to lost. if anyone can show me on reason that chaos is acting out of turn i will be more than happy to listen (other than jnick and his threats i will not back his statements his statements are his own.) a month ago if someone used an alt to assist wild in kill bsd, what would have happened? would bsd have ignored it? doubtful. but there in lies the catch 22 we can either fight and not take people killing us for fun, or we can bend over and take it like KOS or kiss ass like the rest of the mud. i had no problems with bsd but i'm not gonna pretend nothing happened because they can kill me. as for the rest of my clanmates they seemed to have expressed what they thought i just wanted to add my 2 cents.

    Oh, an in terms of options, its a lot like life. Sometimes you have to deal with being someone's bitch for a little bit before you can move on. One of the most powerful skills you can develop on Arctic, especially as a weaker clan, is diplomacy. Build up your strength, then maybe you could in theory put up a real fight.

    Back in the day, BSP was doing that shit to Renshai, RoT, and so we dealt with it for a little while so we could build up, forged a loose alliance, then set a pretty decent ambush for BSP. BSP ended up cheating to a ridiculous scale and overcoming the ambush, but in theory the idea is sound. Sometimes just having enough power to cause a power swing from one clan to another is enough.

    Reading all this shit, just makes me more and more bloodthirsty for chaos. I recently started using my cleric (leij) to start killing them, ive killed there supposedly elite leader (jennings/gambit/xod), and actually today killed there retarded wandering ranger (kaldean). I started to feel bad since me and one guy were taking down ur clan char by char. But after reading this shit it wont ever stop. Not until i have all ur gear or until all of chaos touches my wang. btw pablo if ya need a ranked cleric to help kill some retards ya know where to hit me up.

    Jnick quit takling like you can back it up, after me/kholos killed jennings, you guys logged a 4 man. I told to jennings saying wanna fight you 4 vs. us 2, and he said no. So until you grow some fuckin balls, im not even gunna ask, ill just hit you fags when you least expect it, the kaldean rip should be up soon. The best thing for chaos is to just shut there stupid fuckin mouths, and to have jennings step down from being there leader, cuz he is bringing your clan down. I also find it funny when kaldean said that me/kholos cant deal any damage on a pk, but yet we pkilled the char with the most hp's in ur clan. =P well see how this all lays out, but when you guys are sick of getting picked off, let me know.
